Essential Oils & Skin Type

When it comes to facial nourishment, essential oils are an added benefit to your beauty cabinet. The magic of essential oils is their multi-purpose treatment for various skin types. The oils can be applied into your skin creams and body lotions, added to a serum or sprinkled into a bath for a full body hydration. When selecting an oil, pick a scent that resonates with your emotions and skin type and let your wellness flourish!

DRY SKIN:

cedar-wood, sandalwood, myrrh, palmarosa, and chamomile.

OILY SKIN:

cypress, lime, geranium, and lemon.

BLEMISH-PRONE SKIN:

tea tree, geranium, and patchouli

AGING SKIN:

frankincense, tangerine, lavender, patchouli, rose, and ylang-ylang.

COMBINATION SKIN:

patchouli, lavender, orange and bergamot.

A side note; citrus essential oils may cause photosensitivity. If you apply the oils to your skin and are exposed to the sun for a long period of time, you may experience irritations such a redness and burning. To help prevent this, oils may be diluted with a carrier oil (avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil) particularly when mixing with a face serum.

Wellness is essential, but beauty safety is key!
