Time to Glow

Today our world is bizarre. Things are surreal and unusual at best, but there is a silver lining! When time permits, we can embrace our inner-crafty side and make splendid recipes from delicious menu items to bath and body products. A simple beauty recipe I love is a natural highlighting spray, and since we can’t go the salon for our ritual hair care, now is the time to bring the salon to you!

This easy breezy lightening spray will give you subtle results, that can be increased depending on the amount of time you spend in the sun. For instance, I have very dark brown hair so for me it takes about three-to-five rounds to achieve the sun-kissed flare to my hair. So, with whatever free time you may be able to conquer or during your next outdoor walk, embrace a little self-care and get your glow on!

This is what you need:

– 1oz bottle (glass preferred)

– distilled water

– 1/2 lemon juice

– 15 to 20 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

– 1 tablespoon of fractioned coconut oil

Directions:

Combine the coconut oil and essential oil in a glass bowl and stir. Then mix in the lemon juice. Fill ingredients in a spray bottle with the distilled water. Shake the contents and apply to damp hair. Now, go for that needed walk or grab a book and sit outside while your hair gets a natural glow from the sun.
