Life is too short to not spoil yourself. You’re worth it, especially after a long week. What I love about self-care is that you don’t need a fancy spa with a gigantic price tag. Self-care should be fun, effortless, and as inexpensive as possible.
For a nice dose of zen, try this neck wrap spa treatment. The mixture of the warmth of the towel combined with the oils soothe your neck and shoulders while relaxing your muscles. Every parent and human deserves this TLC!
DIRECTIONS:
Place 2 cups of Dead Sea salts in the bottom of a large glass bowl, then add 10 drops of eucalyptus radiata and peppermint. Fill the bowl with water and place the towels in the bowl for 30 minutes, mixing the towels occasionally with a large spoon. After 30 minutes, gently wring out the towels to a damp texture, then fold and place the towels on a cooking platter. Place the platter in a warm oven for 10-20 minutes. Watch the oven closely to prevent any damage. That part is key!
When the towels feel warm (test by placing your finger on the towels after five minute increments), remove platter from oven and cover with plastic. When you’re ready for some relaxation, pick up the towel and shake it so cool air accesses the towel. Gently place the towel on your upper shoulders and around your neck, and enjoy the tranquility. These towels also feel incredible when wrapped around your legs and feet covered in plastic to absorb the heat. Ok, now do this! You’re worth it!
