Morning Zen

I recently received a message from someone wanting to learn about my morning zen routine. Each day my morning consists of coffee as it’s paramount, but while that’s brewing, I settle into my meditation space for ten minutes and embrace in those moments of mindfulness to reflect on the new day with gratitude and optimism. I tend to favor guided meditations for an extra boost of motivation coupled with my lavender essential oil on my neck and wrists for the aromatherapy-like treatment. The scent of the oil is peaceful and calming, and thus enriches the practice. After meditating I journal any thoughts or feelings that may be lingering, and then gleefully enjoy that full cup of coffee. πŸ™β˜•οΈπŸŒž
