Music and Kindness

Music can have a profound impact on emotions influencing kindness in several ways; through words, tune, sound or all of the above.

Music can evoke a wide range of emotions, from joy and hope to empathy and compassion. When music elicits joy and hope,  kindness becomes the ripple effect offering optimism to others. When we lead with kindness as influenced by music or any agent, our world repairs ever so slightly, and for that, music becomes the resource to positivity.

Either listening to joyful music at a concert, from the lawn of Tanglewood or from my child’s radio, the pulse of positive melody empowers a bond, charging the body to feel the harmonic rhythm through the veins. In that very moment is where magic is felt.

The magic of music is a masterpiece of sorcery fostering a sense of camaraderie while encouraging supportive and kind interactions. When music is felt some joyfully dance while others embrace a dear one close, thus propelling music as the connector to kindness.  Music is more than just a tune, music has the power to encourage compassion, if you so choose. Music is the magic to brings people together to heal and foster hope. So, next time you are home or in the company of others, share a tune and experience the magic of music and witness kindness radiate.

“I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.” – Billy Joel
