Guided Imagery Meditation

Looking to wind down after the hectic day? Try a guided imagery meditation. In this practice you use positive words and music (spa/meditation music is preferred) to help guide your imagination toward a relaxed and concentrated state. Select images of a calming and safe place such as the beach or a walk in nature — an environment where the daily stress can be released allowing your mind and body to rest. As you envision your safe place, recite, “I am at peace, I am safe, I am well, I am happy.” Let the words marinate as you recite them three to five times, and allow the music in the background to heighten the spiritual experience.
